The series, led by Rise8 Founder and CEO Bryon Kroger, breaks down why software delivery fails inside government—and what conditions and execution practices are required to make shipping possible. Bryon draws on firsthand experience co-founding Kessel Run (the DoD's first software factory) and delivering software outcomes across multiple government programs with Rise8.

Mission O/S was created by Bryon Kroger, Founder and CEO of Rise8. A former U.S. Air Force officer, Bryon co-founded Kessel Run—the Department of Defense's first software factory—and pioneered the first continuous Authority to Operate (cATO). He built Mission O/S in response to a persistent problem: government software programs routinely consume enormous time, budget, and talent—yet fail to deliver meaningful capability. Mission O/S is his attempt to change that, making the Rise8 delivery playbook freely available to anyone working inside government.
