FAQs

wHERE IS PRODACITY AND WHAT TIME DOES EACH DAY BEGIN?

We’re psyched about our venue this year! Boasting downtown Nashville’s newest and most versatile venue, Category 10 is the ultimate setting for an unforgettable Prodacity experience. Formerly Wildhorse Saloon, there is no other venue like this newly remodeled, 67,000-square-foot multi-level complex - it is THE place to be.

We’ll start each day at Category 10 with breakfast, networking at 8:00 AM CT, and sessions kicking off at 9:00 AM CT.   The address for Category 10 is 120 2nd Ave N, Nashville, TN 37201.

what should I wear?

You are encouraged to wear Smart Casual - an approach that combines trendy with classic for a professional appearance but not too formal. Suits aren’t necessary, but we’d recommend steering clear of “athleisure” and open-toe shoes. Instead, consider button-down shirts, blouses, sweaters, khaki pants/chinos, skirts, dress shoes, boots, loafers, and your “public-facing” sneakers.

We’re also planning an optional Running Club at 6:45 AM CT on Feb 5th & 6th. If you’d like to join us, pack some running shoes and a few exercise layers. Mornings in Nashville are in the 30s and low 40s.

What is the best way to manage my session attendance and schedule during the symposium?

This year, Prodacity is a single track, eliminating the need to manage session attendance. Please check out the agenda at rise8.us/prodacity/agenda.

Will there be breaks for lunch, coffee, etc. with options at or near the venue?

Yes, please check out the agenda for all planned breaks; meals, beverages, and snacks are included at the venue to optimize our time together - we recommend networking, visiting our Coalition Partners, or getting answers to your most challenging questions directly from our speakers.

What should I bring?

Please bring a valid form of ID to present at registration. While there is space available to work and take a meeting or call, the main auditorium does not have many tables to accommodate laptops. You may prefer a tablet, phone, or notebook/pen for the sessions.

Prodacity is as much about networking and relationship building as it is learning; please also bring business cards to exchange and plan for additional space on your trip home for any swag that may come your way!

If you’d love to discuss Lean Enterprise with other Prodacity-goers, bring your copy! There may also be an opportunity for a book signing by Barry O’Reilly.

Will there be space for me to work, make a call, or meet with partners?

Yes, there will be an opportunity to use some of our reserved spaces. For business meetings, please coordinate with the Prodacity Team for an appropriate meeting space and time.

Are you offering organized runs, yoga, etc. before or after each day’s sessions?

Yes, there will be two organized 5k runs on the morning of February 5 and 6. Stay tuned for details on the meet-up location, and departure times.

Honky Tonk not your thing? We’re also organizing a Prodacity After Hours Game Night at Category 10 on the evening of Wednesday, February 5. Stay tuned on how to sign up. Light apps and beverages will be available for purchase beyond the provided beverage tickets.

is my information going to be shared?

We will not share your name or email. We encourage you to have conversations, network, and exchange business cards or your QR code as appropriate. Your QR code will contain basic registration information like name, title, agency/organization, and email address.

what's the best way to stay up-to-date during the event?

We’ll send out a daily email with any agenda changes and reminders about activities. We will also add real-time communications in Slack. Join the prodacity Slack workspace here.

I've learned more in 1.5 days than 2 weeks with other research efforts.
- dod service member & workshop attendee
The venue location, the food, the speakers, the vibe. I have been to over 10 conferences this past year and this was by far the most relevant and intimate.
The networking and sessions were outstanding.
There was zero theater and everything presented was applicable to our current organizational climate.
Each session was surprisingly impactful and made me eager to employ the knowledge learned at my home unit. I wish I brought more members out to this conference to partake.
