Terms & Conditions

By registering for and attending this event, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before participating.

1. Registration and Payment

1.1. Registration Fee: All attendees must pay the applicable registration fee in full before the event date.

1.2 Cancellation Policy:
60+ days before event 100% refund to original payment method, or ticket transferable to another attendee
30-59 days before event 50% refund to original payment method, or ticket transferable to another attendee
Within 30 days of the event No refund available, or ticket transferable to another attendee

2. Event Participation

2.1. Code of Conduct: All participants must adhere to the Code of Conduct, which prohibits harassment, discrimination, and inappropriate behavior. Rise8 reserves the right to remove any participant from the event without refund for violations of the Code of Conduct or these Terms, and to bar such participants from future events.

2.2. Badge Policy: Badges issued at registration must be worn at all times during the conference.

2.3. Access: Access to certain sessions or events may be restricted to specific ticket holders.

2.4. Photography and Promotion: By registering for and attending the event, you acknowledge that photographs and videos may be taken of you during the event and may be used for promotional purposes including marketing, promotional, editorial, and commercial use, without further notice, consent, compensation, or attribution.You waive any right to inspect or approve such uses and any claim for invasion of privacy, right of publicity, defamation, or similar claim arising from such use.

3. Changes to the Event

3.1. Program Changes: Rise8 reserves the right to make changes to the conference program, including speakers, sessions, and venues.

3.2. Event Cancellation: In the event of cancellation by the host, due to unforeseen circumstances, Rise8 will provide a full refund of registration fees but will not be responsible for any other costs incurred by participants. Rise8 reserves the right to convert the event to a virtual and under such circumstances, will transfer your ticket to a virtual pass and offer a 50% refund.

4. Intellectual Property

4.1. Content Ownership: All content presented at the conference is the intellectual property of the respective presenters. Attendees are not permitted to reproduce, distribute, or use any materials without the express consent of the content owner.

4.2. Recording Policy: Audio or video recording of sessions by an attendee is prohibited unless prior written permission is obtained from Rise8 and the presenters involved.

5. Privacy and Data Protection

5.1. Use of Personal Data: By registering for this event, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data in accordance with Rise8’s Privacy Policy.

5.2. Third-Party Sharing: "By registering, you consent to ShipSummit sharing your registration information, including name, title, organization, and business contact information, with event sponsors and partners for the purpose of one-time post-event outreach. Any ongoing communication from those sponsors or partners will be subject to their own privacy practices and applicable opt-in requirements."

6. Liability

6.1. Personal Belongings: Rise8 is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings during the event.

6.2. Liability Waiver: Attendees participate in the conference at their own risk. Attendees release and discharge Rise8, its parent, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, sponsors, partners, and venue providers (the "Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to attendance at the event, including but not limited to bodily injury, illness, property loss or damage, exposure to communicable disease, and acts or omissions of other attendees or third parties.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the total aggregate liability of the Released Parties to any attendee for any claim arising out of or relating to the event or these Terms — regardless of the form of action or the theory of liability — shall not exceed the amount of the registration fee actually paid by that attendee. In no event shall the Released Parties be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

7. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Delaware. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in the courts of Delaware.

8. Widely Attended Gathering

We are committed to the highest ethical standards when interacting with government officials and employees. By attending this event and accepting any benefits offered, you certify that you are able to do so under your employer's applicable guidelines, including any applicable government ethics laws, rules, and policies. If you have any questions about your eligibility to attend this event, or your ability to accept any benefits offered, please contact your organization’s compliance officer or ethics officer before registering.

9. Health and Safety Compliance

Attendees agree to comply with all health and safety requirements imposed by Rise8, the venue, and applicable authorities, which may include vaccination, testing, masking, or symptom screening requirements. If applicable, attendees will be notified of safety requirements in advance of their arrival, Rise8 may deny entry to or remove from the event any attendee who fails to comply, without refund. Attendees acknowledge the inherent risk of exposure to communicable diseases at any public gathering and assume that risk voluntarily.
